Call for papers

In this conference, we aim to delve into the richness and diversity of approaches to design research, as well as its potential to face the challenges of contemporary society. We encourage expanding the margins of design by submitting research initiatives related to the following lines (not limited to them):

  • Design and new political scenarios: design, citizen participation, and social justice.
  • Design and professional activity: creativity, cultural narratives, employability, and/or precariousness.
  • Design and academia: teaching experiences in design and/or the trajectory of the researcher in design.
  • Design, graphics and image: defining visual culture in physical and digital spaces
  • Design, visualization and information: the role of design in scientific dissemination.
  • Design in the peripheries: practicing design from unconventional spaces.
  • Design and climate crisis: approaches, reflections, and/or solutions regarding the role of design in the face of the climate crisis.
  • Design and its gaps: occupying empty spaces in the narrative of Western design (gender, postcolonial, class).
  • Design, health, and well-being: contributions from the practice of design.
  • Design and present futures: technologies, methodologies, and imaginaries.
